Cuirassier uniform advice
I am now painting french cuirassiers. I have AB figures and was wondering what is folded up on the portmanteau. Is it a cloak? What colour is it? I have seen some paintings where this is in the regiments distinctive colour. Thanks, Ants

http://www.mont-saint-jean.com/cent_jours/unitesFR.php Click on Carabiniers & Cuirassiers and you can look up each individual regiment. Be aware that these are 1815 uniforms, of course, rather than the pre-1812 kit, which may be what you are after.
