Disruption Points Question
Forgive the dumb question.
Can a unit rally off disruption points in the same turn it moves or fires? I read the rules to mean a unit can only rally disruption points on a turn it is stationary but it can fire and rally DPs as long as it does not move that turn.
Thanks for any input.
I just finished my first couple units and my British line were advancing against levy troops in cover. The Brits received 3 DPs during the advance, 2 DPs from fire and 1 DP from movement. I halted the Brtis 7 or so inches from the levy and rallied off 2 DPs prior to declaring a charge. So the Brits moved (1DP) and received 2DPs from fire on turn 4. On turn 5 the brits redressed and did not move and rallied 2 DPs at the end of the turn. They were lucky and did not receive any additional DPs on the turn they were stationary. On turn 6 they charged home. Was this correct
Hi,
Not a dumb question at all.
You can fire and rally off DP that turn.
If you move at all or change formation during a turn you cannot rally off DP's at the end of that turn.
Your example looks fine to me, you halted to rally off DP's. I am assuming your British unit was either elite or had an officer attached as you were rallying off 2DP's per turn.
Hope that helps

Paul
thanks for the response..glad to know I can interpret the rules. You are right I did have the Brigade Commander attached to the line unit, so i could rally off 2DPs a turn....thanks for the feedback
