Fighting commands?
As I prepare for my first game I would appreciate it if someone could clear up my fuzziness on the fighting capabilities of command units.I guess the key questions are can they fight? And if so what combat ratings do they fight with?And do HQ units have any combat ability? I've searched through the rulebook and been unable to finds answers to these questions (which doesn't mean they're not there...just that I can't find them). I'd appreciate any enlightenment that can be offered. Alex

Alex, No infantry command units, including the HQ, may issue any form of direct fire themselves, (inluding defensive fire).P33. 9.5 AFV command units, including the Tank Group Commander (AFV Regt. Commands), may do so if they are in/using an armoured vehicle capable of direct fire. All infantry and HQ command units may engage in close assault and have a factor of 3. AFV command units use the factor appropriate to their vehicle. Have fun! DB
