Figure Scale
Interested in obtainining the new rules when they become available but I use 5mm figures for this period. Are the rules usable with this scale and what, if any adjustmentts would I need to make? Thanks Luke

Luke, The rules should work perfectly for 5-6mm, and we've even included a few suggestions for small-scale gamers at the back. In fact, in that scale you have the option to run much bigger games than usual, or to greatly increase the size of the battlaions for that "epic" feel to your games! Thanks Angus. I look forward to getting the rules sometime this summer. Luke

On a similar thought, I intend to use 10mm Old Glory Figures, and was thinking of one Btn/Regt to one base, with around 40 figures..would that work?

I see no reason why not. The rules contain an option to build units using a 1:20 rather than a 1: 40 figure ratio, which would give you a 40-man Prussian battalion. You can mark off casualties on a roster sheet (an example is provided in the rules), so there's no reason why it wouldn't work perfectly well. In the optional rules there's also a suggestion for using "DKK" with 6-10mm figures, where you treat each base as equivalent to - say - four figures, rather than however many are on your base, and use the rules as they stand, with a typical battalion consisting of 4-6 such bases, just as they would for 15 or 28mm figures. The only difference is that you've got a lot more "real" figures on each base. The same section also provides tables of ranges and move distances etc. for the smaller scales. Eight days until the rules come out! Best Wishes, Angus Konstam www.edinburghwargames.com

:) Joy all round then, I'll get painting. Can we preorder from caliver?

Pre-order? Indeed you can - I think it saves postage (but don't hold me to it); http://www.caliverbooks.com/searchcat.php?words=kriegkunst&price=&period Best, Angus Konstam www.edinburghwargames.com
