Jan thanks for all these great links :D , I have the Funken books but some of the other sites are new to me. Do you have any suggestions where I might get some uniform guides for the Dutch army that fought alongside the Duke of York :? ? That first Coalition against the French appears to be very colourful with German states, Emigres ,Austrians and British all fighting together. I have found out quite a bit about these other forces but the Dutch uniforms are proving more difficult to track down. I seem to think that the uniform was Prussian insired and I read some where the cut and look was very similar, can you add any more ?
By the way your own website is a constant source of inspiration thank you for your efforts.
