Yes, these chaps are rather tasty. Must admit 'tis a period somewhat unknown to yours truly but the figures look jolly dapper - clad in an interesting mix of what appears to be Napoleonic and Crimean uniform.
Nicely painted and the bases are equally spiffing. More please......... :D
Those look wonderful- and that flag!
An army and a period I'd be very tempted to game in, if I just didn't have so much on the go already.
those figures are amazing and really well painted. they look like they are storming towards a line of dreyse needleguns (obviously before they have started firing). will definately be getting some of those helion austrians at some point in the future.
the new hussars sound really tempting too, would be great to see some of them when they are painted
Helion Hussars
Yep, I bought two squadrons worth (12 figures) of Helion's new hussars a few days ago. They're still boxed up, however they're very fine castings - again plenty of character and variety. They've also come with separate right sword arms to provide even more uniqueness - a painters dream. I expect Helion will be putting out one of its painting guides in the near future - I'm looking to do the 7th hussars, which were detached to IV corps. Nevertheless, they'll have to wait until I've completed the fusilier battalion of the Prussian 8th Brandenburg Regt.
