Infantry Pursuit question
Okay, I think I understand everything but a few minor issues: 1) When infantry gets a Pursue! result after Melee, they will stop and act as Halt! Tuckered Out! if the enemy has been: a. dispersed (got that), b. is now in cover (is this after they Rout/Retreat? Any cover? What if the melee started in cover such as woods?), or c. out of reach(is this after the loser has fled and the winner has taken the Pursuit Move?) Does this Halt! Tuckered Out! response happen after the Pursuit Move is taken or before? 2) Does the Pursuer take a Bonus Move before the Pursuit begins or is the Pursuit in lieu of the Bonus Move? 3) Double Six result -Skulkers: The rebels roll a double six. The result is Skulkers. Does the Union player pick a Union regiment to test as Skulkers or a rebel one? It says "enemy" so I wasn't clear. Thanks for the help. Love the game. We ran 28mm Iuka last week and we're running it at the local Con on 2/15. Dave

D, Q - Does this Halt! Tuckered Out! response happen after the Pursuit Move is taken or before? A - Before - no pusuit movement takes place. A pursuit move will only take place if you end up on 6 or less and obtained a Pursue! result. 2) Does the Pursuer take a Bonus Move before the Pursuit begins or is the Pursuit in lieu of the Bonus Move? A - Instead of a bonus move. 3) Double Six result -Skulkers: The rebels roll a double six. The result is Skulkers. Does the Union player pick a Union regiment to test as Skulkers or a rebel one? It says "enemy" so I wasn't clear. Q - The rebels rolled on the Double Six chart - therefore the opposing player (Union) will choose which Confederate regiment must test morale. Hope that helps. DB

Thanks for the quick answers. Now, my first question had to do with the circumstance when an infantry unit rolls the Pursuit result, 6 or less. There are three circumstances when this Pursue result is converted into a Halt!Tuckered Out! result instead. 1) When infantry gets a Pursue! result after Melee, they will stop and act as Halt! Tuckered Out! if the enemy has been: a. dispersed (got that), they obviously won't pursue an enemy who is gone. b. is now in cover (is this after they Rout/Retreat? Any cover? What if the melee started in cover such as woods?), or c. out of reach(is this after the loser has fled and the winner has taken the Pursuit Move?) Does this Halt! Tuckered Out! conversion happen after the Pursuit Move is taken or before? Hope this makes sense. Thanks in advance.

C, 1) When infantry gets a Pursue! result after Melee, they will stop and act as Halt! Tuckered Out! if the enemy has been: a. dispersed (got that), they obviously won't pursue an enemy who is gone. A - Correct. b. is now in cover (is this after they Rout/Retreat? Any cover? What if the melee started in cover such as woods?), or A – Now in cover - This only applies to cavalry. (this is my fault - it’s not as clear as it should be.) Infantry will purse enemy infantry into cover, but cavalry will not pursue into cover of any kind, they will retire to own lines or pursue the next available unit within 45 degree arc (uncontrolled charge). c. out of reach(is this after the loser has fled and the winner has taken the Pursuit Move?) A - After the loser has fled but before the pursuit move - this will apply for instance if the retreating unit fell back behind fellow units, thus it is now out of reach of the pursuers. Does this Halt! Tuckered Out! conversion happen after the Pursuit Move is taken or before? A - Instead of the pursuit move - i.e. instead of pursuing they will Halt Tuckered Out. DB
