Is TAYG what I'm looking for?
I'm struggling to find a set of rules that will work for me for FPW. I'm working in 10mm and basing to POW so I'm creating notional units of 3 stands. However I'm not as sure as I was about the POW system. I've tried "They Died For Glory" and "1870" both of which had features I liked in terms of game play. I could adjust TYFG units to my notional units and 1870 uses 3 base notional units. However in each case the rules were clearly geared to scenario resolution on a far grander scale than I could fit on my home 6' x 4' table. From this brief statement, anybody any opinions as to whether TAYG would suit what I've got?

Hi, What exactly do you want to achieve with your ruleset? I have PoW, TDFG and 1870-as well as TAYG obviously!! Each rule set has its own merits. Are you after "Grand Tactical" complete refights or a system that covers engagements of a few battalions upwards? How big do you want your units to be-I prefer 20+ figures in two ranks for a battalion rather than 9 in a single rank-thats important to me when choosing rules! Matt :)

Essentially a balanced "pickup game" I can fit on my table, preferably with notional units. I don't want to rebase but I've no problem with using baes from other units to make up one of my 3 base units to 4/5/6 bases say. The scenario emphasis of TDFG and 1870 means that there is no points guidance within the rules. I've found a points system in Les Gens Brave (£0.99 on ebay!) but I'm not too happy about transposing them into the other sets.
