Yes 6 companies per battallion. No elite companies as far as I can tell. There were various grades, 3rd class gunners did not wear epaulettes, but I have not been able to find out the proportion of the various grades and whether they were put into seperate companies. As most of the plates you see of Naval Artillery in 1813 show the greatcoat and epaulettes I would go for that throughout. They were issued with eagles 1 per regiment can't remember where I read that. There is a quote from an officer which mentions eagles on the morning of Mockern. It's in Brett-James Europe Against Napoleon & Digby Smith's Leipzig & Charge IIRC. Where is the part about the grenadiers being dropped in 1807 I don't remember that and it does seem strange for artillery to have grenadier companies?

Dragging this one up again as since my last post I have got an answer to the ratio of 1st class, 2nd class & 3rd class gunners. The decree relating to the raising of these regiments lists the organisation of each battalion as below; 3. Quick translation gives; Battalion staff 4 officers 6x companies as below; 3 officers 14 NCO's 16 1st Class 16 2nd Class 88 3rd Class 3 Drummers Therefore my suggestion for a 36 figure battailion would be; 1 officer 1 drummer 9 rankers with epaulettes to represent NCO/1st class (Also these were the only men issued with sabre) 25 rankers with shoulder straps to represent 2nd/3rd class. NCO/1st class figures should be spread across the various bases. Substitute eagle bearer for 1 figure if 1st battalion. Full decree can be seen hear. http://books.google.com/books?pg=PA233&id=zWUYAAAAYAAJ&output=text
