New ABs
Gents
Just delivered up to Eureka a painted set of the new Spanish Generals: two generals, one ADC in cazadore style uniform and a garochista. The latter is a n irregular type wearing a sombrero and has a lance slung over his shoulder - a lovely figure. All are one piece castings. Those going to Historicon will see them in the flesh.

Plus the 300club Young Guard are out to those who subscribed. Just took delivery of 6 battalions to complete the 2nd (Roguets) division.
Very nice figures in both pre and post bardin uniforms plus young guard voltigeurs
Plus in 28mm scale they have just released some more Revolutionary French, this time French infantry in Casques. I received some of these as samples with my last order and will definately be getting some more.
Do you have any more info skaran eg poses/choice/ musicians/ officers etc though can't see muck on the Eureka site re this
I already have about 8 battalions YG from a composite of AB/BH/Fantassin/OG but would consider parting with them to fund some AB replacements

I don't think the young guard are in general release yet only via the 300 club area. They appear to be still isted in the 300club area (300club139 and 300club140) So you may still be able to get your name down for some. Check with Nic Eureka are very helpful.
From what Nic Robson sent me the 300 club Young Guard are as follows;
Young Guard, 1809-12 uniform, at attention
Young Guard, 1809-12 uniform, skirmishing
Young Guard Drummer, 1809-12 uniform
Young Guard Officer, 1809-12 uniform
Young Guard Standard Bearer, 1809-12 uniform
Young Guard Voltigeur, 1810 uniform, at attention
Young Guard Voltigeur, 1810 uniform, skirmishing
Young Guard Voltigeur Drummer, 1810 uniform
Young Guard Voltigeur Officer, 1810 uniform
Young Guard Voltigeur Standard Bearer, 1810 uniform
Young Guard, 1814 uniform, marching
Young Guard, 1814 uniform, skirmishing
Young Guard Drummer, 1814 uniform
Young Guard Officer, 1814 uniform
Young Guard Standard Bearer, 1814 uniform
Hoping I can use some of these for Flanquer-Chasseurs which I want for my 1812 stuff (I don't have many details on whether their uniforma were the same but green or different)
All,
I've also received the new AB 1809 Young Guard - very nice figures 8) :D -which look like they are based on the AB Middle Guard figures.
They are also supported by YG figures in some very nice skimish poses indeed.
Hopefully I'll have them all ready for our Essling game at the SELWG show in Oct.

I`ve done these for Rob(Eureka usa)
1809,

1813 -14, figures,

The 1809-12 voltigeurs figures are the same as tirailleur but with epaulette.
As for using them as Flanqueur Régts?,they have no shako cords & are missing the infantry model sabre.

Posted at the same time :P
and as I said in the other place, you really need more Guard.....
I recieved some samples of these with an AB order I did a week ago and I can't rate these highly enough. The castings are perfectly clean with no to minimal flash and have an excellent variety of poses. The skirmishers are some of my favourite from AB and I must admit I've never been a big fan of their skirmish style poses.
I mailed Nic a query about them as I intend to get some and couldn't find them on the sight and he said they should be available around September. Guess I'll just have to hoarde my dollars for a few more months.

My mistake pictures should read 1813-14,
Regards,
Why do evil figure manufacturers find so many ways of parting me from my money?
I swore that I would never do any guard........damn!
Yes but these guard fought and there were quite a lot of them so more guard.
Closely examining the pictures it looks like I can use the 1814 young guard for my Flanquers regiments since I am putting together a Russian campaign army. And I can use officers in blue instead of the rest of the units green.
Skaran,
In 1812 did the Flanqueur Régt not carry infantry sabre & two crossbelts?
Regards,
I understand Ian at Fighting 15s has licensed moulds for the new AB Young Guard so there'll be no problems about supply in the UK. :-)
Hi Craig,
I think you are right about the sword and crossbelts but the late young guard uniform looks the easiest to modify basically needing a second crossbelt though the habite-veste tails will likely be too short. The Flanquer-chasseur had one with the lapels closed to the waist which was a mark of the regiment and the late young guard is the only part of the range which has this.
thanks for your helpful replies gents, I shall wait a while I think as i have enough to get on with for now
thanks for the attempted PM Craig, but unfortunately it doesn't seem to contain anything
