Numbers at Guilford Courthouse
I want to base my British forces on those present at Guilford Courthouse, how accurate are the troop/figure quantities given for this scenario in the rulebook? The 71st seems very high . Cheers Chris

Hi, I'm doing similar with mine. I started a thread looking at these figures here: http://generaldebrigade.greatboard.com/viewtopic.php?t=3642 which should give you some pointers. I've yet to revisit due to a slight diversion into Punic times! Andy

Thanks, plenty to go on there, looks like I turned up after all the hard work has finished, have ordered a copy of Long.obstinate and bloody to further things. Cheers Chris

Yes, the book is excellent and well worth getting. Sometime soon I'll get round to continuing my new Order of Battle! Andy

I think the new book Long, Obstinate and Bloody has the 2/71st at 212 all ranks, but that was after detaching some men to the baggage guard (24 from Leslie's brigade, but that includes some men from Bose).

Looking at numbers quoted in the original GCH scenario it looks like they were derived from Henry Lumpkin's From Savannah to Yorktown. A good book in its day but as far as GCH goes it has been overtyaken by Long, Obstinate & Bloody.
