Getting started with GatG
I've never tried GatG yet. I play FnF but want a change to allow me to use the perry figures. What size of force is required to begin with and what composition. Are the rules easy enough for my kids to play ( 12 and 14 ).

D, A couple of brigades per side should be sufficient to start of with. Each infantry regiment is roughly 16 to 20 figures strong, with say between 3 to 5 regiments per brigade. Add a couple of batteries (USA 3 gun models per battery each with 4 crew, CSA 2 gun models per battery, each with four crew), a handful of skirmishers per side and a few generals - and that should do it. I've played games with my son who's 8 (and going on 18, ), so a 12 and 14 year old should have no real problems if you guide them through the game turns and rules processes. Enjoy. :P DB
