Unformed Units
Gentlemen: This came up in our first game- Do unformed units automatically reform during the movement phase, or is reforming considered a formation change? Or, do they suffer any movement distance penalty if moving after reforming. Sincerely, Tom Engelke

If they don't move, shoot or change formation they are automatically formed at the end of the movement step. If you decide to move unformed unit they do not suffer any penalty in distance they can cover but they do in shooting and in mele, not to mention that they can be charged by those troops on Engage orders and that they will probably be broken. You might consider yourself lucky if they just retreat.
