Cover benefits
Hi All,
We've had a number of small points come up during a splendid two day battle we had last weekend that I'm hoping someone can help us with.
One of the issues was to do with Cover i.e. woods or hedge lined fields and when units could or could not claim the benefit from them.
We found in the rule book in the Firing section a rule on Partial Cover that says that if 50% or more of the unit is in the cover then they can claim the cover benefit.
Does this also apply to gaining the In Cover modifier for Morale Tests and Melee?

The rules appear fairly straightforward on this one, if more than 50% of your unit is in cover, then you can claim the cover modifier; conversely, if more than 50% remains outside cover, you can't. This translates across all phases so and applies to firing, melee etc; however, in the melee if both units are in cover, the modifiers cancel.
