our version of hubbardton
Hi Last week we gave Hubbardton from scenario book 2 a go. Hopefully you'll find the photos here http://s661.photobucket.com/albums/uu340/mick66photos/Hubbardton/ I tried to use some ideas to cut down the need to keep refering to the brigade lists but this may have been too fiddley. The experts will note that the units in the photo's are not the units that took part on the day, this is because when I first stated painting the figures i just picked random units from the mollo/ mcgregor book. We did have some problems with the skirmishers if anyone can help. 1) woud the 24 pickets be better divided into two wings as we found this a very large unit? 2) if one end of the line of pickets is attacked by other skirmishers dose the whole unit count as fighting and if attacked by formed infantry dose the whole unit evade if they can? 3)If skirmishers are not in base to base contact with each other ie. 1 or 2 inches between bases, do the minus modifiers still count if the enemy target formed troops behind them? If so when dose the skirmish line become ineffective? 4)If stands from a skirmisher unit are dotted around how dose this affect the unit receiving orders? many thanks mick
