I know they move as columns. Do they retain their original base position or are the bases formed into a column? Are they treated as a column target? (+1)

C, UNFORMED, Do they retain their original base position or are the bases formed into a column? If unformed as a result of retreat or rout they will form a column of mob. If unformed through any other reason they maintain their basic formation shape. See chapter 12 Morale 12.3 Definitions. Are they treated as a column target? (+1) Only retreating and routing units are classed as a column target. DB
