Milan Guard, Germany 1813.
A nice sunny day has enabled me to take some pictures of my Victrix French painted up as the Milan Guard. I've done them as a 32 figure battalion, with four companies of 6 and two of 4.

Very nice! One of my favourite regiments!

Did you take these photos whilst doing the Riverdance or a Scottish sword dance? Or at least the Milanese equivalent! But seriously sire, they look to be quite nicely done but methinks you need either a tripod for your camera or if you don't have one then put your camera on the ground on the self-timer setting and this should help eliminate camera shake. With a sharper focus we'll be in a better position to comment on your painting. However do not despair. The art of painting minis AND the art of photographing them are life-long lessons in themselves and being able to do your figures full justice with decent photography is something yours truly has been unable to achieve consistently up to now. Of course having a corker of a Nikon or Canon 12 megapixel camera would help us all considerably but for those of us having to make do with an 8 year old 3 minniepixiesonycybershottie i'd say 'Practice makes perfect' AND try shooting at different settings on your camera. Jot down camera settings while you click away. And of course remember never to get closer than the minimum focal length otherwise you'll never take decent snapshots. Good luck!

Alan, Greta looking unit, hopefully we will see it up at the club in the not too distant future, I can then see it getting chased off the table by my Austrians or Prussians  Glen

I particularly like the chap on the extreme left in the fourth picture; it looks like the quartermaster got his hat size wrong; an excellent personalised touch!

I particularly like the chap on the extreme left in the fourth picture; it looks like the quartermaster got his hat size wrong.... Or it could be a certain vertically challenged Welsh doctor from New Zealand..... :?
