only second game using these rules and need a bit of help here :- Infantry winning melee against infantry cause them to retreat,when taking pursuit test they are forced to pursue. next round the retreating infantry rally and stand. Do the pusuing troops carry on into melee ? If so do the rallying troops get to shoot on the way in ?

The retreating unit will move in the next turns compulsory move phase along with the pursuers who remain in contact - so there is no chance to rally. However for future reference see See 12.3 Morale Test Results under Retreat para C - retreating units may not fire if charged. Hope that helps. DB
