Cracking brushwork, animation, composition and basing, Craig! You continue to set the highest standards! :D 8)
Amazing.. Four days and such a splendid artwork! I dont believe my eyes..
And a question.. what colours You use for that brilliant job?
Sho,
I work on maybe 4-5 units at a time, so they come together around the same time.
As for colours, most on these Carabiniers are mixes.

Carabiniers
Very nicely painted. I admire your skills and am envious. I do have one comment though, I thought that the Carabiniers wore white tunics. But I'm probably wrong.
DaveB
DJB,
Yes, you are probably wrong.

They are wearing the pre 1810 Uniform.
They are superb, I wish I could paint that well in 28mm.
Cheers

Kev,
They are not in the "pre 1810 uniform" Why would you think that?
They are in the blue service jacket worn on campaigne for 1812-15
Regards,
The pre-1810 uniform was the dark blue one, worn with the bearskin. I think the light blue fatigue uniform became campaign dress in Russia when the regimental baggage containing the white dress uniforms was captured by cossacks.
Apparently, in 1815 only half of each regiment was issued cuirasses (plus the officers and NCOs) and so the second ranks probably wore rolled cloaks, like the 11th Cuirassiers.
fantastic models and painting as usual
your 15s are better than my 28mm figures
I stand corrected craig.
They look like a dark blue on my screen.
They did wear the dark blue as they became armoured.
I should have finished reading the section in my ospreys.
Cheers
Kev
