Salute 2009 pics
Please move to gallery if more suitable: The Two Fat Lardies' 1918 game. Excellent hand-made terrain: Loughton's Reichstag 1945 game. Incredible attention to detail in both scenary and deployment of figures: The Escape Committee's excellent 1939 Russo-Japanese game: Perry Quatre Bras action: Warlord's ECW game. Figures by all manner of people I think: A WW2 Soviet partisan game. Again, stunning scenery: More WW2-ness from someone: Wagram, 1809 in 6mm: Finally, IMHO how not to do a "demo game". This Samurai extravaganza had marvellous terrain and figures, but also prominent "Do Not Touch" signs and no hand-outs or flyers whatsoever. More importantly, the figures did not move an inch - this wasn't a game at all, in fact, but a diorama. :coffee:

Cheers Giles, some great pics, esp the Perrys game and the WWII games. Also like the Russo-Japanese game - great terrain. JB

Well done Giles - awoke this morning absolutely desperately hoping someone would have posted some shots of Salute and in particular the Perrys Quatre Bras game. Thanks Carlo

Hi Giles. Thanks very much for your post. Like Eugene1809, I was really hopeful of such a post! I think the Perry game looks terrific (any chance of some more pics? - pretty please) On a side note, congratulations on your wedding, I'm really sorry I couldn't make it once again. I have to say Shelley looked very beautiful on her big day!! Cheers mate, Mark

Mark and others, have a look at this link: http://picasaweb.google.com/BigLeeH/Salute2009?feat=directlink# Mark - how is your Waterloo game coming along for LW? From what Mike C tells me, is should be a fantastic spectacle. The Perrys stuff does get me keen on switching to 28mm from time to time. John

John, Thanks for the link. Some very good photo's specially of the Perry display. I wonder what the Victrix Peninsular game was? There doesn't seem to be any reference to it anywhere!?!? As for the demo game Mike, Wes and I are preparing, things are coming together slowly! Shall be good on the day I'm sure.
