Any news on the promised supplements yet?

Er ... no! In theory we're working on them with James Woods, who produced the "Partizan Historical" SYW Uniform Guides. A horrendous workload has kept me from playing my part, but James has been beavering away, and we hope to produce the first scenario book this summer. It'll also be a good chance to publish the errata. Best Wishes, Angus Konstam

Angus, Great news about the scenario book - any hints as to what might be in it? I had heard that it will include British SYW battles (Minden, Quebec etc.).

We haven't thrashed out the final list yet (or playtested all the options), but we'll certainly have a few scenarios featuring the British and their German Allies. However, the plan will be to concentrate on the campaigns in Europe, so I'm afraid Quebec won't be appearing. An idea for a second scenario book is one covering the Jacobite Rebellion (1745-46), complete with bolt-on rules to cover Highlanders. To round it off, it'll also include scenarios from the War of the Austrian Succession. However, that one is even less advanced than the first one. In both cases, we'll probably post details of the scenarios on this site, and then invite people to playtest them. Best Wishes, Angus Konstam www.edinburghwargames.com

Jacobite 45
Now that is good news indeed! The Bolt on Highlanders rules... I have a question. I once read in the Seven Years War Assoc Journal that the Highlanders at some time ... advanced, fired there muskets went prone and then after the enemy volley charged home with broadsword and Targe .... can we recreate that in DKK?

Good grief, Tarleton - you want to make these slippery little buggers super troopers, don't you?! I already get enough grief from co-writer Dougie Trail about my "over-rated" Cossacks! Actually, the easy way to do this is to instert a variant on the "Firing at Chargers" table, covering fast-moving and generally ungentlemanly targets. We expect the fist scenario book - and the long awaited errata and replacement playsheets - to be in the shops before Christmas. That's this Christmas, before you ask! Lol
Angus ... that would be a great rule.... I think it would disappear though ... I also think I may have misquoted... I think the Highlander event I described may have occured inthe WAS.
