White Plains Chatterton's Hill
I am finishing up the units for the Chatterton's Hill scenario to be played the week of Thanksgiving (in about three weeks for you UK guys). Maitland's Command has one unit of 12 British Light Infantry. Are these intended to be 12 skirmish models or 12 "formed" Light Infantry? Or is it up to the player? It appears most of Maitland's command are skirmishers. Has anyone played the scenario from start to finsih? And if so ... Any idea of how long to plan for the game? Thanks Mike B

Hi Mike, I have played this a couple of times, albeit in 15mm. I think it might play a bit faster in 25mm, depending on the size of the board. Also depends on whether the British player goes straight up the hill or, as my last opponent did, do a bit more marching around the flank. Took us about 2.5 -4 hours to do the games. One piece of advice if I may. I missed the fact that the Americans could deploy Haslet anywhere on their side of the river first time we played it. So we deployed as per the map and Haslet got absolutely blatted by Cleavelands artillery. Good luck and have a good game. An AAR and piccies would be nice if you get a chance. regards Paul

I played it one time and I'd really like to do it again as it's a very fun scenario. It takes around 3 or 4 hours to play depending on how much the players move.Americans really must stay out of the British Artillery range or they will receive a pummeling in which I of course learned the hard way. Have fun as I'm sure you will! :) Cheers Christopher P.S.Make sure you get the set up spacing correct as that's very important in this scenario.
