World War 2 Scenarios - Woods
Dave
I have recently purchased both WW2 scenario books. These were originally written for the first edition rules - are there any changes required?
Many of the scrnarios have 'Woods' shown, are these intended to be 'open' or 'dense' types. We are going to play Honkaniemi 1940, which has a lot of woods - so it is important.
As a more general case, 'open woods' are classed as 'open terrain', presumably for movement purposes , not visibility.
Still on woods, how close to the edge of a wood does a unit have to be to fire out?

S,
Most woods in the scenario books are dense woods for movement purposes, unless obviously an orchard, etc.
As a more general case, 'open woods' are classed as 'open terrain', presumably for movement purposes , not visibility.
Correct.
how close to the edge of a wood does a unit have to be to fire out?
See 9.9 p47 - line of sight in cover and buildings is 2" <3">. This applies to looking in as well as looking/firing out.

Thanks, that clears things up.
