|
|
Hello,
I have just bought the rules and have a couple of questions if I may.
1) Chapter 8 Terrain rules say that a unit moves at half speed in difficult terrain. Does this also apply to charge movement?
2) When a charging unit receives fire at the halfway point, does it receive the -2 cover modifier for being in a wood?
Thanks, Raphael |

A - Yes.
(Hint: One way to get through difficult terrain quickly is to adopt skirmish order and then close up again once within range of the enemy.)

A - Yes.
(If the wood is open or with little undergrowth, such as Rose woods at Gettysburg, this will be classed as Light Cover & the cover modifier reduced to -1.)

Hi All
Remember, only irregular calvary (cossacks etc) may charge into or across difficult terrain and receive no charge modifer.

But there could have been a few. Something to do with emigration.
