Hi there, am I the only one collecting the Helion 1866 range? I have not seen any other painted examples? Cheers

I intend to take the plunge very shortly (hopefully at PHALANX on 21 June) as CALIVER BOOKS will be there and are acting as suppliers.
By the way I really enjoyed your blog which I accessed recently as a link from the HELION site. I will be revisiting regularly. I suggest you provide a link from this site.
Thanks for namechecking TAYG. I have some Eureka Crimean war figures on my 'to do' painting shelves (alongside lots of other pending painting projects) and your pics may just inspire me to start on those next.
Yours etc etc

Hi! I've recently started to collect Helion 1866 Austrians and Prussians having been inspired by Wawro's book on the campaigns and by a visit to the battlefields near Hradec Kralove. I'm looking to use the rules 'There are your guns' based on General de Brigade (the local club already uses these for our Napoleonic games, none better for the period, IMO).
Anyway, I was hoping to add some photos from my growing Helion 1866 collection, however I've yet to manage to import images successfully for the moment - can anyone help me?[/url] |

I've posted a few photos of my 1866 Prussians from the Helion Range. The figures have loads of variety and character and movement - excellent products in my opinion. The figures are based to reflect the half-battalion tactics and flexibilty of the Prussians. Hope you like them.

Lovely paint job-bases are especially effective.
