|

Reading as I was a little blurb about US artillery doctrine pre- and post-Kasserine, I can't recall if this is covered in the rules.
Can an observer only call fire from one battery at once? Or can a single observer call fire simultaneously from all artillery assets that are in range (i.e. onboard and offboard, or a variety of onboard artillery)?
Can he only call in fire from artillery pieces that are within a certain command radius?
And I suppose furthermore, how would you apply this to the different armies (for instance did the Royal Artillery ever restrict themselves to dedicated observers or were they more flexible?) |

A - No. An observer can only call in either on board arty or off board arty but not both in the same turn. One observer can only call in fire from one on board battery.

A - No, obervers have an increased range of 36" [54"] from their batteries - radio/telephone range. See 10.2 P44.
