Hi,
Does a target unit in the open which is fired on by a unit in a wood receive a cover modifier. The reason I ask this is because I have played rules where units in this situation received a modifier because not all muskets could be fired on the target because of trees etc blocking line of sight.
Thanks.

If the firing unit is someway inside the wood - then yes I would impose the cover modifier, as some trees will interupt the firing units Line of Sight, etc.
But if the firing unit was lining the edge of the wood, then they should have a clear shot.
