As stated in rule 5.6 Assault, p. 21, "Brigadiers may change to 'Hold' orders ... if their force consists of infantry threatened by cavalry."
What is meant by the term "threatened by cavalry"? Does it mean, that an enemy cavalry unit is within Line of sight and within charge range of 12" of one of the units in the brigade? Are there other requirements?
Many Thanks

Hi Olaf,
Yes if there is Line of sight and the cavalry are within 12" of one of the brigade’s units then the Brigadier would be able to change from assault orders to hold. This would count as your Brigadier order for the next turn. If two or more brigades are threatened by cavalry that turn then they may all revert to hold orders, it still only uses up the one Brigadier order for next turn.
