Some of us plan on doing the Guilford Courthouse scenario.It was described as cool and wet,and with that in mind I gave the bases a "wet"look with some standing pools of water.
I couldn't find any information on their standard and so I took the liberty and painted up the traditional rattlesnake design and Don't tread On Me Slogan(probely my favorite slogan) and went with that.
The militia line is beginning to crumble and some are now running,but you can't be to hard on them,they are militia after all! Laughing
I hope this is entertaining for some of you. Smile

Not only nicely painted, but well composed too.

Good inclusion of uniform clothing on several figures - the Virginia militia was known for being well stocked with ex-Continentals.

Nice work indeed!
I think you're right about 'Don't Tread On Me'; it is a defiant, snarled warning whereas 'Liberty or Death' is far more flimsy and would actualy remind the running Militia men that they might get... killed...!
Exceptional mud by the way, it gives the sense of getting between the toes of the barefoot chaps.
More please

@Everyone
Thank you very much! Very Happy

@Ronan the Librarian
I'm not surprised you noticed the inclusion of several ex-continentals as being more present in Virginia militia. Wink

@Gentelmen Johnny
Mud between the toes,I didn't think of that,but yes that's a good way of putting it. Laughing
My next project is some fantastic Perry riflemen.I'll post them when I'm finished. Smile

Look forward to seeing those riflemen.

Despite being marginally smaller "in the raw", the four Foundry figures don't look at all out of place, do they?

I thought the same thing.They are little smaller,but not very much to make any real difference. Wink Foundry has some very nice "minute men"type figures and make excellent militia.Take some of the Perry's Southern militia and you can get a nice variety to your militia regiments. Smile
