Models are a mixture of Skytrex, FoW and Peter Pig for Infantry.
All tanks barring the two smaller Matildas are FoW (those two are Skytrex).

Two rifle companies for N. Africa.

Posting as I go - some company command stands, and an objective marker for the Paras. Most of the Peter Pig 'character' figures got used, including Johnny Frost.

Alex, this is all outstanding stuff. And your basing is very effective too, particularly the desert stands. First class, sir! Seeing these pics almost makes me want to do WW2.....

Thanks Giles - but especially seeing all the fantastic new ACW stuff, I don't think any of this is quite up to the same standard.

I comfort myself knowing that with 15mm stuff, it doesn't really matter how well you paint it or photograph it I'll have to see if I can't get something a bit more glamorous than my painting desk under yellow lights...

Anyway, the long slog through my Paratroopers has reached an end... (apologies for re-posting some of the same models):

Command stands (can be used either for the company or the battlegroup) plus some of Peter Pig's general and MG armed Para jeeps (highly recommended).



Some cut-down Morris 500CW trucks.

Another something for the desert army - a miraculously in-scale P40; slightly repainted for the DAF.



The model is a 1:100 Italeri diecast. They also do good Stukas - still looking for an appropriate medium bomber.

Aside from the slight misapplication of one of the decals - pretty happy with the way the AIM Horsa turned out.

Very nicely done - a fine collection.

Although not a WW2 gamer, I'm always interested in seeing British Paras as all the male staff at my middle school were Arnhem vets. The headmaster was the chief RC chaplain to the Airborne Forces and won the MC (along with a fair few bits of German shrapnel and tank MG rounds) for staying behind with the wounded.

Thanks Ronan - I would say start collecting WW2! But it's just as addictive as any other wargame, and before you know it you're up to your ankles in little metal Tommies.

I am now running short of storage space.

Still to come as far as Paras are concerned - I couldn't resist the urge to buy a few 75mm Pack Howitzers and some Mk.3 6pdrs - but after that, I can't think of anything else to buy.

That being said, I gather AIM has just finished its master for a Hamilcar Glider...

I'm not too prissy for detail on 15mm models - but I still have a lingering doubt over whether the berets are 'too red' or not. The dodgy lighting in my photos probably doesn't help matters.

I return after a bit of a break to attempt a mod of a QRF Centurion mk3 back into an A41 pilot/mk2 - again just for fun.

Effectively a full rebuild of the turret was necessary - cut away all the features, and rebuilt over the basic shape using plasticard and greenstuff. The mk3 turret was considerably different from the mk2, so I had to use the obligatory hard to come by photos as a reference, meaning it isn't perfect!

Superb 8) 8) 8) . The advantage of this scale as you have shown, is that you even get to have aircraft and gliders in your collection.
