In the absence of "on topic" replies, I have to say that the new Humbrol Matt 104 (Oxford Blue) acrylic is a good match for British "royal" blue - ie facings, coats (RA, RHA, RHG), and trousers.
Not sure if the British used indigo for the basis of their blues (like the French). Depending on which blue you do use for your French, I suppose it wouldn't be far off at a pinch, given the effect of sun bleaching on the uniforms. _________________ You can lead a horse to water, but a toy soldier can no longer be lead (due to Health & Safety Regulations). |
