Dear Gamers,
Please can you advise regarding the pro and cons of the various Cavalry
formations apart from skirmish.
Our understanding is that there are four formed formations for Cavalry:-
Line which is useful for melee but if you have large regiments can take up alot of space.
Column of Divisions which is the best fighting formation for cavalry but if more than 3 ranks deep will be fired upon as a dense target. Has the same movement rate as line.
Column of Squadrons and companies which is good for moving around the battlefield but will not recive a charge bonus. Also column of companies and squadrons more than 3 deep will be fired upon as a dense
target.
