I would like to paint a French Napoleonic Dragoon regiment. Most of my miniatures are Perry. Perry do not currently offer a dragoon miniature (pastic or metal), however there is an Isabelino (Carlist wars range) line cavalry figure that might suit. The epaulets and slightly different tunic front seem to be the only fundamental differences.

Any thoughts.

Schulz,

Why not wait until Alan Perry actually does the dragoons you require?

The Perry releases are constant and you might just find that after a lot of effert trying to remodel the Carlist Wars guys to suit, Perry come out with 1815 dragoons shortly after.

Not to mention that there are so many other units Perry currently have available, you can be kept busy in the interim!!

If you are really set on dragoons in particular, you could always just ask Alan when you pop through you next order. I've always found him very accomodating.

PS Where abouts in Melbourne are you?

Mark,

You are probably right but I'm naturally impatient. I am located in the Bayside suburb of Beaumaris. Are you in Melbourne and do you wargame in 28mm Napoleonics.
