Dave,
Do you see there being any problems with using the BGPG system for the next organisational scale up. That is each stand that currently represents a squad instead represents a platoon. So a British company becomes:
1 x Company HQ element
3 x Infantry platoon elements (1 of these with an LMG)

I don't see any problems at all in taking it to the next level.
Though you may wish to scrap LMG’s completely and simply give Germans a +1 to represent their increased firepower or possibly a longer effective range, e.g. 14" (15mm) instead of 12" and so on.
One could also do the same with AT weapons, simply give each platoon an inherent factor based on effectiveness and availability of anti-tank kit.
You may also wish to scrap low level support weapons such as 50mm mortars.
