I have had some time off this week, so I have started the momentous task of rebasing my Seven Years War figures for Die Kriegskunt. I have really enjoyed the results so far. I have had to paint up some extra figures for my Prussian regiments, but only four per battalion, which isn't bad at all. I have added a couple of pictures to give an idea of how things are turning out.
The figures above are some of my Austrian grenadiers, 20 men per unit.
This a shot of a Prussian regiment and a battery. I had to add four figures, or one per stand, to bring the units up to a Die Kriegskunt 20 figures.
This is an Austrian unit, but I accidentally mixed in a Hungarian command stand with the German line unit. But you get the idea.[/img] |

Very nice. One idea which you might consider to ease the additional painting, is to include a mounted Colonel, instead of two figures. You would then only have to paint two additional figs and the colonel which I find slightly quicker. Essex and Minifigs colonels are quite compatible with OG15, or you can use the OG15 Generals.
I did that when rebasing my Napoleonics. For the SYW I already had a Colonel in each battalion, so it did not help. _________________ Chris G |
