I am now painting french cuirassiers. I have AB figures and was wondering what is folded up on the portmanteau. Is it a cloak? What colour is it? I have seen some paintings where this is in the regiments distinctive colour.
Thanks,

Click on Carabiniers & Cuirassiers and you can look up each individual regiment. Be aware that these are 1815 uniforms, of course, rather than the pre-1812 kit, which may be what you are after. _________________ You can lead a horse to water, but a toy soldier can no longer be lead (due to Health & Safety Regulations). |

re: mont-saint-jean...
THAT is a website... most definitely. I have never been tempted by Napoleonic land-forces so much before - What a resource!
Tempting... very tempting!
