I've been painting some 25mm Perry Carlist War stuff the past few weeks, for use with "There are your guns". These are Isabellino (i.e. loyalist)infantry and horse artillery:
The 6-pounder, incidentally, was painted with the new-ish Foundry "authentic" British Blue Grey palette. It's not "grey"enough for British artillery I think, but an attractive colour. nonetheless.. |

Excellent work as ever. But is it just me or the photos, but do the figures, especially the officer, look a bit..how shall put it tactfully?... well fleshed?

These look fantastic Giles. Your painting of these could be drawing me into yet another period like your AWI collection has.
The buildings in the backdrop look very nice, who makes them please? |

Thanks for the and kind comments.
Pat, the buildings are by Tablescape - bought "off the peg" at Salute. I think they were about £20 each; not made to order and I think they have a range of 25mm Spanish Nap buildings planned. |

Haven't posted stuff in a while, but here are some more "There are your guns" units for the First Carlist War:
The Marines Regt, with their very pretty flag:
Isabelino regular army in muddied campaign dress:
British Auxiliary Legion infantry and riflemen:
