Hi to all,

On the weekend of May 16th-17th the NWS had our annual gaming weekend. The usual suspects of Phil, Marty, Steve, Andy and myself (with some young and enthusiastic offspring!) played a fictional two day battle.

I have included a few shots and will hopefully find some time to put together a battle report in the next week or so.

Intial set-up

French advance on the right flank.

Saxe-Weimar marches to meet them.

95th Rifles try and stem the tide on the Allied extreme Right flank.

Highland Brigade prepare to defend La Saye.

Cavalry engagement in the centre.

French Legere Column.

British Cavalry stream over the bridge and river to relieve the right.

Regards

Carlo

Wow! excellent set up. 8)

In the first picture I thought it was 15mm. It was only as I scrolled down I realised it was 28mm. Very, very impressive, well done chaps. 8)

A superb looking game, lovely figures and great terrain; do I recognise some Hovels' buildings?

Magnificent figures - as SW i was also initially fooled into thinking 'twas a 15mm affair. Lovely mix of figures from different manufacturers - so often do we find gamers limiting themselves to just a single make of figures even when there are others which are highly compatible.
When all said and done human beings come in all shapes and sizes!?!
Yep, when i grow up Wink i definitely want armies like these.
To top it all off there was even mention of the German state of my son's noble four-legged friend ! Very Happy

Thanks for posting this Carlo,

This is what the hobby is all about - masses of beautifully painted figures on a gorgeous terrain.

This to me is a classic example of why I choose 28mm figures over 15's. (don't take it personally Beresford) nothing compares to the spectacle of quality 28's such as this. I actually think you could give the Perry's a run for their money.

Carlo,

That is a very impressive setup, great pictures of some superb figures, thanks for sharing them with the group. I often refer back to posts to give me further inspiration or motivation, this one definitely gets added to the list.
