Hello Chaps,

I have been gaming for quite a while, but I am new to the BG rules.

I've seen a few posts on here about Elite and Line units using dAv to move and D6 for everyone else. At first I thought this was a bit odd, but then I had a bit of a lightbulb moment.

Should a brigade of Elite or Line units wish to move two dAv movements the biggest gap between units will be 6" (highest 2dAv score less lowest 2dAv score). But with units of other grade the biggest gap could be up to 10" (highest 2d6 score less lowest 2d6 score).

Dependent on how close enemy units more Elite and Line units will be in charge and effective firing range (and be able to support each other), rather than units of lower grades. Also it will be easier for Elite and Line to reform a line of units.

So going back to the title of this post, I am looking for some help from one or two BG players in London. I have taken the plunge to try my first BG game at the Exiles club close to Waterloo on Thursday, 2 July. Looking at doing a scenario based on Hobkirk's Hill.

I would like to invite one of two current BG players to come along to ensure that we are using the rules the right way. Don't worry you won't be expected to sit in the corner with a set of the rules and only be called upon if we have a question. You will get to join in the game, you can even chose what side you or on. As an added bonus we will buy your drinks for the evening (our club is in the basement of a pub).

Grateful to know if anyone is available.

Regards,

Ezza

good luck with the game ! I don't like to promise that I'll make it because I'm about as reliable as a cheap Mexican time piece in a hurricane - but PM me the details of time and place.
