Chaps,
I found this what-if pre-Saratoga scenario that may be of interest

The background to the scenario is;
"Washington has received information that Burgoyne's army is awaiting the arrival of their German allies. Seeing a moment of opportunity he orders Gates to attack and cripple the British Northern army and hopefully capture some fiercely needed artillery pieces and a storehouse of small arms and gunpowder (the Davis House). "
The scenario is written for the Volley and Bayonet rule set, but sure that someone out there would be able to convert it over to BG.
