I'm not one for alternative history stuff, but I picked this up the other day.
"Redcoats Revenge" by Col. David Fritz-Enz USA (Ret.)
It is an alternative history of the War of 1812, specifically the battles fought on the NY/Vermont/Canada border and the battle of Plattsburg. What caught my eye was that the Duke of Wellington has elected to come to America to command. It looks like things are working their way towords another battle of Saratoga.
I have only read the first two chapters and I have to say it is very good. The author has written a non-fiction account of the Battle of Plattsburg, fought (ironically) on September 11, 1814. His account of this alternate history is from his perspective as a military officer.
A suprising find, I highly recommend the book.
PS ... My buddy Greg and I are finally getting to play the Guard/Waterloo scenario for GdB. We are playing next Tuesday ... all day ... Yep ... June 18.

Yes, it's the same date as the Battle of Brandywine! _________________ Then let us fill a bumper, and drink a health to those
