I have a few questions re generals
1. can a general be attached to more than one regiment at a time. ie two units are side by side and the generals base is placed so as to touch both units.
2. If playing with more than one division, so you have two divisional generals, does a div general count as the C in C of the Div for the purposes of removing DP's from levy units
3. if yes to two, does that mean if can have a Div general plus the C in C attached to a levy unit and remove two DP's a turn, 3 if the C in C is excellent.
thanks |

In my opinion I'll answer in what I believe, but do not know for sure is the author's intent.
1.no
2.Yes
3.No.My impression is the most senior commander attached to a unit takes personal command therefore all commands come directly from him and his modifier's.If I'm wrong,I'm sure I'll be corrected shortly by the author or an experienced player soon. The responses are nice and quick here.I hoped my somewhat shaky answer was of some use. |

Hello Trojan,
Another non-definitive response, this is the way we do it:
1 We permit a general to be positioned between two units and be in contact with them both, BUT it must be stated WHICH unit he is inspiring, no gamesey fuzzyness allowed! This would be able to be changed during the General's movement in the next phase.
2 We only have one CinC per side on the table at any one time - this can change if a more senior officer arrives, but a Div Gen would be a Brigade Gen for morale purposes...
3 Even if there is more than one General present they would not be addressing the men at the same time, so only the senior general would be able to affect the unit.
Hope that doesn't make it too muddy...
