Its late I don't seem to recall if they were addressed in the rules ... are they?

No, the rules don't cover horse artillery. They were certainly used, at least in an experimental way, but I'm not convinced they ever appeared on a SYW battlefield. Of course, I'm ready to be corrected, but until then - if you want to use them, then make up your own rules about 'em!

I honestly don't know if they every made it to the battlefield. I will have to check the Duffy library I have. I believe fredrick formed his horse battery in 1759.
