I have two 8oz tubs of wood filler... I am eyeing it with suspicion as filler for basing my figuire. Anybody ever use this stuff... does it work well? How do you sculpt this crap? _________________ "Shorten your stirups, check the click of your trigger and balance your blade....ridin' a raid"

When I started painting Front Rank miniatures a few years ago I used a wood filler to build up the bases to match the height of the bases on the figurines. A tricky step which I found unnecessary in more recent times with Perry miniatures. After sticking the figures to a base, I use a craft quality PVA glue ( not unlike wood working white adhesive but with a thicker consistency) as a foundation for the final textures ( a mixture of fine sand and model railway ballast). This has worked well and the figurine bases are not apparent.
A long winded answer to indicate that this may be unnecessary.

| It really depends on what type of models you are basing. |
