I note from the rules that infantry command units cannot fire although they can lead an assault. Am I right in assuming that Command Tanks function in the same way and so cannot fire? _________________ Steve |

Steve,
All command AFV's may fire. I appreciate that one tank has to "command" and occasionally was only armed with MG's or a dummy gun but the command tank was more often than not fully armed and the remaining AFV's making up the command troop are also fully functional.
As opposed to an infantry commands SMG's and a couple of pistols. Their true worth in assaults comes as much from a motivational factor, (i.e they are more willing to actually close and "mix it" with the enemy,) as from their close quarter firepower.

Steve,
if playing a game that requires a battalion level command (as Master Brown and I done in the past) we generally class these level stands as being armed with dummy guns etc. Company level commands are treated as normal vehicles though.
Always good to get the old Panzerbefhelswagens out of the box now and again |
