| The direct firing has a modifier for fast targets, which is defined as a target (of sufficient speed) moving on roads or in the open. If a target had been moving in the open, then for defensive fire there is no question of whether it had moved or not. What about at the start of the opponents move when it could still be in the open but would be stationary in game terms where in real terms it would be continuing to move? Does this still count as a 'fast' target or does the fast target only count for defensive fire? |

Tricky....
But from what I gather, since you gained the initiative, you have caught the unit on the hop (maybe while the commander pops his head out to scout about) and caught them when they are stationary.
Don't forget the turn is from 5 to 15 minutes long....
...and even scout vehicles won't want to move that much over a battlefield without doing some recon (which to be honest, has to be done at a halt, otherwise they are going to see absolutely b*gger all....)
Otherwise, if they had gained the initiative and moved first, then count it....
If Dave B. sees any problem with this, I am sure he will comment..... _________________ Evil Dick ;-) |
