Just a few questions,
If a tank with tank riders wants to fire, I assume the tank riders dismount and the tank can fire as normal and that this can occur before or after movement of the tank. Is this correct ?
or,
Because movement has occurred (ie dismounting tank riders), the tank can only fire at the end of its turn (ie after tank movement as well) ?
Does dismounting tank riders mean the tank is subject to defensive fire before it can fire its own shot ?

Andy,
Q - If a tank with tank riders wants to fire, I assume the tank riders dismount and the tank can fire as normal and that this can occur before or after movement of the tank. Is this correct ?
A - A very fine line here, but I would say a stationary tank could fire with its tank riders still on board. (Okay, I accept they may be a bit deaf and shaken up! But this was certainly done by the Russians and for the smooth workings of the rules its probably the easiest solution.)
Q - Because movement has occurred (ie dismounting tank riders), the tank can only fire at the end of its turn (ie after tank movement as well) ?
A - No, see above.
Q - Does dismounting tank riders mean the tank is subject to defensive fire before it can fire its own shot ?
A - Yes, (again a very fine line!) I would say that movement has been initiated, even if the vehicle itself has not actually "moved", and that Defensive Fire is eligable once the riders have moved an inch. Though my answer to your first question probably makes this now redundant.
